Honored to Walk for a Cause on Breast Cancer Awareness Day!
On 31st October 2024, Tembea Futures Institute, through its Youth Centre Spinnoff, proudly joined forces with Penny the Conqueror and hundreds of supporters for the annual Breast Cancer Awareness Walk. We gathered to honor the survivors, support the fighters, and remember those we have lost. Walking side by side with individuals from all walks of life was a powerful reminder of the strength in unity, compassion, and unwavering resilience.
The event was flagged off by Robert Ngetich, Deputy County Commissioner (DCC), who underscored the importance of community-driven awareness and early detection in fighting breast cancer. His presence set an inspiring tone, emphasizing the role each of us plays in creating a healthier, more informed society.
Jared Buoga, Director of Tembea Futures Institute, walked with pride alongside survivors and supporters, reiterating Tembea’s commitment to health and well-being in the community. This walk represents more than an event; it’s part of our mission to spread knowledge, offer support, and advocate for accessible healthcare for all.
